Country music star Kasey Chambers will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame at the awards at the end of November.

At 42, Chambers is the youngest woman to become a Hall of Famer and says it’s “one of the greatest honours I could possibly imagine”.

“I am so humbled to get the chance on the night to share the journey this little country singer from the Nullabor has actually had,” Chambers said in a statement on Tuesday.

In her 25-year career, she’s had five number one albums – a record for Australian women artists she shares with Kylie Minogue and Olivia Newton-John – and won a slew of awards.

“The longevity of her career is a testament to her enduring talent and artistry, with many timeless songs that have crossed generations of Aussie music fans,” ARIA chief executive Dan Rosen said.

Previous Hall of Famers include AC/DC, Kylie, Slim Dusty, Sherbert, INXS, John Farnham, Tina Arena and The Wiggles.

The ARIA awards will be held in Sydney on November 28.
